Obituary of John Murray MacPherson

MacPHERSON " On Sunday, December 9, 2007, John Murray MacPherson passed away at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Netta MacPherson and an infant son, John will live on in the hearts and loving memories of his wife Yvonne; children Tanya (Simon Roizes), Ian, Paul (Gillian), and Stephanie Dove (Chris); grandchildren Benjamin and Michael Roizes, James, Jaida, and Myles MacPherson, and Hannah and Eric Dove; mother-in-law Margaret Whelan; sister-in-law Joyce (Clay) Lush and family; and cousins. John was raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia and graduated from the University of New Brunswick. He met Yvonne while working near Springdale, Newfoundland and they married and started their family in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Johns work as a civil engineer later took the family to Saskatchewan, where they have remained. John and Yvonne have shared a love of travel that took them to Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. They also enjoyed road travel across both Canada and the US, whether by motorcycle, car or motorhome. They later continued their excursions in the company of their new friends in the Sunshine Sams Chapter of the Good Sams Club. Johns good nature, thoughtful intelligence and loving soul will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street with Rev. John Haas and Kim Antosh officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina S4S 3Y6 or William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina S4R 8P6.
