Obituary of Hugh Jamieson Meikle

MEIKLE " On Wednesday, December 12, 2007 HUGH JAMIESON MEIKLE, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Doris Meikle and his brother Douglas (JEAN). Hugh is survived by his wife MARION; sons SCOTT (ALICE) of Coquitlam, BC and RICHARD of Barrie, ON; sisters BERYL (ALVIN) STEPHENS of Balcarres and JEAN MEIKLE of Regina; brother ROY (JUNE) of Cranbrook, BC; two grandchildren TARA (PRESTON TAN) and DAVID, both of Port Coquitlam, BC. Hugh was born October 5, 1922 in Balcarres, SK. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941 and served four years overseas. He received his B.S.P. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1949. He began his career at Brownlee Drug Store. He was married in 1953. He started his own business at Whitmore Park Drugs in 1960 until 1974. He finished his career at Medical Arts Pharmacy in 1991. He enjoyed his retirement at B-SAY-TAH Beach with his family and friends until his recent illness. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street with Rev. John Haas officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.
