Obituary of Martha Katherine Button

Martha Katherine Button (Fahlman) On Saturday, December 15, 2007 Martha Button passed away at Pasqua Hospital in Regina at the age of 96 years. Martha was born near Odessa in Russia on June 5,1911. Martha was predeceased by her loving husband Harold; an infant daughter, Margaret Rose; her eldest daughter, Florence; and son-in -law Henry Stemper. Martha is survived by her three sons Fred (Patricia), Gerald (Grace), David (Myrna); daughter Edith (Tom); as well as ten grandchildren, Cathy (Flo), Brent and Brenda (Fred), Sean, Patrick, Conor, Kerwin, Cara (Edith), Sherrill and Sheldon (Gerald). Martha was the last surviving member of a family of thirteen children. We are thankful for her long and productive life. Martha excelled at handiwork and was devastated when she lost her eyesight. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Martha's memory may be made to the CNIB, 2550 Broad Street, Regina S4P 3Z4. The Funeral Mass for our mother will be held at Christ the King R.C Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Koep presiding.
