Obituary of James Robert Thickson

THICKSONJames Robert Thickson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the age of 52 years. Jim was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan. Jim is predeceased by his father Wilfred; brothers Donald and Alfred; nephew Trent; niece Cindy. Jim is survived by his mother Agnes (Aggie); brother Bernie (Sheila) and son John (Leanne) and their son Conner; his sister Janet (Brian) and her children Rick (Hayley) and their daughter Sunny, Angie (Geof ) their children Kelly and Karlee; his sister Anna and her children Scott, Darrol (Tracy) and their daughter Alison, Cheryle (Tony) and their sons Duncan, Seth and Harvey, Kerri (Tony); niece Donna (John) and their children Christopher and Lisa. Jim is remembered for his love of his nieces and nephews and his love of the great outdoors. He enjoyed the wind in his face whether on a Harley or on one of his horses. His horses were his pride and joy and he usually fed them before himself. Jim made many friends but the closest to him were among his greatest treasures. He was a humble, quiet man, very sincere with a soft, kind and gentle heart. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, contributions to a charity of choice may be tokens of remembrance. Memorial Service will take place on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating.
