Obituary of Desmond Granville Patton

PATTON " It is with sadness that the Patton family announces the passing of Desmond Patton of Regina on January 8, 2008 at the age of 85. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Annette after 64 years of marriage and their children, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Ernie (Mary), Wayne (Marie), Marilyn (Rick Gorman), Des (Sue), Ivan (Brenda), Shannon, David (Linda) and fifteen grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Mona, he is survived by his siblings Sheila, Roland (Anne) Raymond and brother- in- law John as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Larne, Northern Ireland on November 22, 1922, Desmond immigrated to Canada in 1947. After 57 years of ministry in the United Church in Saskatchewan, he is now at rest with his Lord and Saviour whom he loved and served. Visitation is from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11th at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue and a Service of Remembrance at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 at Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina with Rev.
