Obituary of John Duane Gemmell

GEMMELL-John Duane Bud late of Bethune passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the age of 76 years. Bud was born in Findlater, SK in 1931; he was predeceased by his mother Ruth and father Jack, and his brother in law Jake Bergen. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Marie, son Ron, daughter-in-law Shauna, and very special granddaughter Jasmine and his sister Ruby Bergen; nephews Gary (Kathy), Greg (Susan), sister-in-laws Laura Jaeger, Agnes (Richard) Ackerman, Sharon (Gary) Webb and brother-in-law Ron (Ruth) Eisworth; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bud faced his cancer with great dignity, courage and strength. Bud dedicated 36 years to the Canadian National Railway, and in his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, sharpening saw blades, leather working, gardening, watching rodeos and especially watching the Price is Right every day. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Dilke, SK. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Father Neil Osiowy presiding.
