Obituary of Alexander (Sandy) Hoce

HOCE " Alexander (Sandy), late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away on Friday, January 11,2008 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by Sophie, his wife of 61 years on September 15, 2007; parents, Benjamin and Maria Hoce, sister, Jean Prepchuk; brothers, William(Bill) and Eli. Sandy will be sadly missed by his daughters Roberta (Don) Harle, Jacqueline (Ron) Harle and Donna (Terry) Kozak; grandchildren, Kelly (Michelle), Corinne (Ryan), Brent (Danielle), Alexandra (Keith), Colin, Nicole (Jeff) and Erin (Devin); and great granddaughter, Olivia. He is also survived by brothers, John (Margaret) Hoce and Nick (Nora) Hoce; as well as several nieces and nephews. Sandy was employed with Burns Foods for 47 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Roughriders in the years 1943, 1944 and 1946. Sandys first love was his family and he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the caring staff of Kelsey Manor. A celebration of Sandys life will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd., N., Regina, with Rev. Brad Fahlman presiding. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue, Regina. Flowers most gratefully declined.
