Obituary of Penny Louise Schultz

SCHULTZ " Penny Louise (Atkinson) " December 1, 1947 " January 13, 2008 It is with great sadness, that the family announces the passing of Penny, beloved wife, mother and gramma, on Sunday, January 13, 2008, at the age of 60 years. She passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Penny was predeceased by her parents Harold and Bette Atkinson and her brother Randy; parents-in-law Emil and Jessie Schultz. Penny is survived by her loving husband of 41 years and best friend Rick; daughter Sherylee (John) Kowalyk and their children, Danielle, Dylan and Logan; daughter Jodie (Jim) Dielschneider and their children, Paige, Kennedi and Peyton; son Jade (Sheri Kohut and her son Tyler); step-mother Barbara Atkinson; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Hans), Betty, Jane (Bob), Shirley (Ken), Norma (Bob) and Milly (Bert); her very special aunt Pearl; step-sisters and step-brother; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom will also be greatly missed by her beloved cats, Sammy and Sasha. Penny was an avid hockey fan and for twenty-four years was a season ticket holder with the Regina Pats. She enjoyed traveling to warmer climates in the winter, loved to listen to her country music at the Craven Jamboree and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in the summer camping at Buffalo View. Penny operated the lottery Kiosk at the Normanview Crossing Mall for ten years making many friends, including the staff at Extra Foods. Thank you for your support and friendship you gave her over the years. Special thanks to Dr. Bradel and the nurses at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for the care given to Penny. Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 18, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5. An on-line book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
