Obituary of Mary 'Vesta' Stef

MARY VESTA? STEF 1921 2012 Vesta Stef passed away peacefully with her family at her side the morning of Monday, September 3, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Bill (1993); daughter Linda Anderson (2010); son-in-law Murray Anderson (1978); parents Norman and Flora Fagan; and siblings: Helena Knibbs, Adeline McLean, Norma Ross, Garfield Fagan, Wanda Runne and Violet Urschel. She is survived by her son Ken (Carla) Stef of Vancouver; daughters Elaine (Paul) Yuke of Toronto, and Diane Stephan (Kevin Scott) of Saskatoon; grandchildren Chris Anderson, Andrea (Chris) Reynoldson, Miranda Anderson (fianc Derek Fiissel), Steven (Katherine) Yuke, and Joanna Anderson; great-grandchildren Brandon, Nathaniel, Lauren, Aaron, Jared, Rachel, Jorjia, Hayden, Ethan, River, Abigail, and Abram; sister-in-law Dorothy Philpot of Regina, and brother-in-law Ernie Urschel of Grenfell. Vesta was a gentle, kind, loving and generous lady, known for her keen wit and a smile many described as sunshine.? Her strong faith and belief in prayer guided her throughout her life and provided her with great comfort and joy. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother and friend. She loved people and had a unique gift for making everyone feel special. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. J.S. McMillan and Dr. Vernon Gebhardt for their compassionate and expert care through the years. A Funeral Service for Vesta will be held at the Regina Apostolic Church, 808 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Merv Switzer officiating.
