Obituary of Sophie Ceholski

CEHOLSKI, SOPHIE (nee Olijnyk) Mom passed away peacefully in the early hours on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the age of 84 years. She was born on September 3, 1923 in Sawcsyn, West Ukraine. Sophie immigrated to Canada in 1947 and settled in Regina, SK with her family. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Steve in 2002; her parents; and other relatives in Poland and Ukraine. Sophie will be sadly missed by one daughter, Mary; one son, Steve (Ursula); grandchildren, Carla (Quinn); Loressa; Chris; and their father Al Vogel; grandchildren, Delaine and Ranelle; great-grandchildren, Henry and Avery; and family in Poland; one nephew in Canada, Larry (Elaine) and his family. Mom, Grandma, Baba will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family, for her caring and generous spirit, sense of humor and her smile. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare for their loving care of Sophie. Memorial Liturgy will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Basils Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Rudolph Luzney, Celebrant. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
