Obituary of Frank Anthon Engel

ENGEL - With great sadness we announce the passing of Frank, with his family at his side, on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by parents John and Anne. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Molly, their children Greg (Barb), Maureen (Greg) Erlendson, Kevin (Helen), Vince (Dawn), Lee Ann (Mike) ODonnell, Patty (Don), 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his sisters Margaret (Stan) Krupski, Bernice (Dave) Ward, and brother Larry (Gail) Engel as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frank had a tremendous sense of humour and wonderful wit. He was famous for his playful teasing and never missed the opportunity to tell a joke or reminisce about old friends. Chances are if you crossed Franks path you ended up a character in one of his stories. Frank also enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family at Crooked Lake in the summer. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at the Regina General Hospital and the kind and caring staff of Regina Wascana Grace Hospice at the William Booth Special Care Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church, 4720 Castle Rd. on Tuesday February 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Michaels cemetery in Lemberg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Franks memory may be made to Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Rd., Regina, S4R 8P6. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com.
