Obituary of Gladys Ann Achtemichuk

ACHTEMICHUK " Gladys Ann. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Ann Achtemichuk (nee Jones) on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the age of 55 years. Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. Predeceased by her parents John and Phyllis Jones and older brother Gwen Jones. Gladys is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Gerald; daughter Shawna (Scott) Holt and son Jason (Danita) Achtemichuk; beloved grandchildren: Treston, Keelin, Katelyn and Zander. Gladys is also survived by her brother, Vincent Jones and sisters Margaret (Ben) Walsh and Linda (Ken) Mushka; as well as several nieces and nephews. Gladys was a loving and caring person. She was known for her great compassion towards her family, friends, co-workers and residents of Regina Lutheran Nursing Home. Her fondest memories are those spent with her four cherished grandchildren. Gladys passion for life will be forever remembered. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Pastor Dennis Fingas officiating. A private interment will be held in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
