KAHNAPACE"TUCKANOW, SANDRA CINDY LEE-ANN (Leading Thunderbird Woman) February 5, 1985 " February 8, 2008 With broken hearts we are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was predeceased by her father Marty Kahnapace; brother Roland Tuckanow; Mushum Remie and Kohkum Lavina Tuckanow; Uncle Paul Tuckanow; Kohkums Shirley Bellegarde and Donna Crowe; Mushums Tommy Stemchild, Wilfred Fayant and Michael Tuckanow; and cousin Woodrow OWatch Jr. Sandra is survived by her loving mother and best friend Brenda Tuckanow; stepfather Elias Velychko; brothers, August and Eric. Also by her uncles, Barry (Morning Star), Garry (Joanne), Raynie (Paula), Raymond (Andrea), Randy (Tammy), Krista, Kim (Thomas), Joel (Craig), Lisa (Greg); Godfather, Woody OWatch; aunties, Ronda, Barb and Trudy (Fenton); paternal grandmother Rosalie Pambrum; and siblings, Martye, Jared, Justin, George, Marissa, Jodi and Martus; paternal uncles, Richard, Dana, Joseph, Raymond Kahnapace; Auntie Harriet; special family, Stuart and Pat Koochicum. Gabe, Christine Bergman, Brenda (Clifford) George, Larry (Lisa) Oakes, Pat Dieter, Brian Windigo, Dwayne Parisien, Brad Kaye and all her relatives and family of N.A. and A.A. Sandra had a kind and loving heart. Her free spirit and smile could light up a room. She was so proud of her family and was full of love for all of them. She fought a long, hard struggle with her addictions and embraced her Cree First Nations Culture and spiritually to help with her fight. As a child she enjoyed dancing Fancy Shawl and went on the Pow-Wow trail with Mushum Jr. and Kohkum Beanie. She participated in traditional sweats and ceremonies and attended the Annual Okanese First Nations Rain Dance. She attended facilities and programs that would help in her fight to reclaim her life. Sandra would want us to thank all her friends, support people and those who cared for her throughout her life. Traditional Wake will be held TODAY (Wednesday) at 4:00 p.m. at the Okanese Learning Centre. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Okanese Learning Centre.
