Obituary of Mary Ester Bodnarchuk

BODNARCHUK - Mary Ester (nee Fitzpatrick) of Regina, born on March 21, 1934 in Buchans, Newfoundland was called home to God on February 16, 2008 at the age of 73 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Paul in 2001, her parents John and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, brother Gordon Fitzpatrick and sister Sheila Fitzpatrick. Mary leaves to mourn her children Mike Steele (nee Wayne Bodnarchuk) his daughter Erin Bodnarchuk; Kathy (Dave) Ash; her stepchildren Tyler, Courtney (Matt), Brittany (Cass) Pidmen, step grandchild Tamara Jane; son Al (Sue) his children Andy and Taylor; sister Betty (Betsy) Champ, brothers Jim and Harry Fitzpatrick. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. At the time of her passing Mary was a long time resident of the Santa Maria Nursing Home. Mary will be remembered for her big heart, and the love and devotion she showered on her family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Santa Maria. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. A Celebration of Marys life will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Darrell Reine. A private family Interment will take place at a later date.
