VERMETTE " Sunday, February 17, 2008 Josephine Margaret Vermette (Richter) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 74. Jo was born in Odessa, Saskatchewan. She was married to Ray Vermette for 55 years. Jo loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was very active in the Christian community. She was a member of Womens Aglow and the Catholic Womens League for 25 years. She also did volunteer work for numerous charities. Her greatest roles were wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her six children, Cheryl Ferguson (Jim), Blaine, Michelle Tom (John), Colleen Winhold (Terry), Darrell (Janet) and Michel; six grandchildren, Jamie Mise, Ryan and Chad Winhold, Amanda and Katherine Vermette, Aja Tom. Jo is survived by her siblings Lydia Benko, Helen Schnieder, John Kurtz, Joe Kurtz, Ida Sebastian, Dorothy Hadju, Daniel Richter; cousin Sharon Blair; in-laws from Kingston, Ontario, Henry (Ann), Wayne (Donna), Adele; numerous nieces and nephews. Jo was predeceased by her parents Catherine and John Richter; siblings Magdelina, Christopher, James. Special friends include Cindy Mock, Melita Horton, Pastor Wayne and Alice Goforth, Delora and Richard Parisien, Sheila Starr, Marg McGorrian, Judy Gill. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Good Samaritan R. C. Church, 425 Broad Street North, Regina with Rev. John Mock presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917 Albert Street, Regina S4R 2P6.
