Obituary of Magdalena (Lena) Rosie Schmidt

SCHMIDT " Magdalena (Lena) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother on Friday, February 22, 2008. Mom was born May 27, 1915 in the town of Kendal, Saskatchewan. Lena was predeceased by her husband Herman on February 11, 2005; her parents John and Theresa Hoffman; four sisters, Minnie, Elsie, Katie and Emma; three brothers, Herman, Jacob and Martin; and two grandchildren, Kelly Lenic and Jeffery Campbell. Lena is survived by four daughters, Phyllis (Stan) Goebel, Beatrice (John) Frei, Darlene (Allan) Exner, all of Regina, SK and Diane Lenic of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Glen (Susan) Goebel, Debbie Campbell, Sherry (Paul) Mokry, Blair Frei (Doreen Katchmar), Dwight (Jacqueline) Frei, Rosanne (Shawn) McCall, Crystal Exner, Scott (Shawn) Exner, Jason (Natalia) Exner, Todd Lenic, Justin (Amber) Lenic and their dad Joe Lenic; great grandchildren, Rodney (Chrystal), Brandon (Amy), Theresa, Arsenio, Tanner, Michael, Krista, Ashley, Taylor, Matthew, Shauntel (Jason), Sarah (Kelly), Derrick, Bryce, Jared, Kenton and Ayla; great great grandchildren, Cyarra, Lucas, Maike and Aubry; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Marys R.C. Church, 2026 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK with Fr. Danilo T. Rafael presiding.
