Obituary of James (Jim) Joseph Shortall

SHORTALL " James (Jim) Joseph Shortall, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the age of 68 years. Born Irish on eight sides, Jim enjoyed and regaled others with his good humour. His life was extended for twelve years, after a liver transplant, for which many thanks go to Dr. McHattie. Jim is survived by his wife Jean, whose love he truly enjoyed; son Peter and wife Lara, grandsons, Jonah and Cole of New York; son Chris and granddaughter Saphire of Nelson, BC; brother Gerry of Regina, who helped beyond measure in Jims final years and his daughter Kristy; brother Peter and wife Kathy of Belleville, ON, and their daughter Jennifer and husband Jean Pierre, and son Brennan and wife Laura, and family. Jim was a teacher, a businessman and in later years actively involved in the Balgonie Community. Jim wishes the very best to all he knew, loved and helped, and who in turn loved and helped him. Prayers will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Josephs R. C.
