Obituary of Olga Julia Smith

SMITH (nee RODY), OLGA JULIA Born at Lang, SK on September 13, 1924. Passed away at Regina General Hospital on February 29, 2008. Olga was predeceased by her parents Robert and Julianna Rody and her first husband Robert (Bud) Williams. She was predeceased by four brothers in infancy, brothers Henry and Robert Rody and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased as well, by sisters in law Rita Rody, Audrey Rody, Pauline Rody, Eve Haldane and Gladys Williams. Brothers in law Albert Krueger, Jim Lancaster, Roy Matthes, Gus, George, Fred and Ed Smith, Max Haldane, Earl Williams and Bernard Bouchard. As well, mothers and fathers in law Della and Jack Williams, Paul and Anna Smith and her second husband Herman (Harry) Smith. She is survived by her sisters Ella Lancaster of Campbell River, BC, Lydia Wallin (Royden) Weyburn, SK, Anne and John Bunn, Kitimat, BC, brothers Fred of Regina and Martin (Gwen) Rody of Oxdrift, ON. She is also survived by her immediate family, Donna (Cliff) Britton of Regina, Beverley (Larry) Good of Calgary, AB, John (Anne) Williams of Saskatoon, SK, Gladys (Lawrence) Ireland of Regina, SK, Gerald (Katie) Williams of Covington, WA, Cynthia (Wayne) Pady of Regina and Sandra (Jeff) Buzinsky of Moose Jaw, SK, as well numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Olga took great pride in her family. Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 4, 2008 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina, SK S4S 4N5. Services to be conducted by Pastor Sid Haugen. Interment to follow at 3:30 p.m. in Verwood Cemetery next to her husband Herman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
