Obituary of Katherine Wilkes

WILKES " On Sunday, March 2, 2008 Katherine Wilkes passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her parents; a daughter in infancy; five brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her loving husband, John; her daughter Patricia Brewer; her son Terry (Aimee); her grandchildren, Shannon Andrews (Jeremy), Tara Smith (Derek), Michael, Shane, Angie and Trina; great-grandson, Karter, and her beloved dog, Tippy. She is also survived by her sister Pearl Stratulat (Steve); brother Joe Harapiak (Frances); and numerous nephews and nieces. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a dedicated homemaker and known for her wonderful Ukrainian cooking, especially her cabbage rolls and perogies. Kay was born and raised on a farm in Cowan, MB and grew up with a strong love and respect for nature and all wildlife. Throughout her life her dogs meant the world to her. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to feed her birds. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in St. Pauls Cathedral Columbarium.
