Obituary of Darcy Arthur Kindopp

KINDOPP, DARCY - On Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Pasqua Hospital at the young age of 47, Darcys short battle with cancer ended. Darcy is predeceased by his mother, Yvette (2005). Darcy is survived by his son, Justin Myers; father Reuben (Bob); sister Cindy (John) Kennedy; brothers, Dean (Cathy), Bart (Linda), Derrick (Kynan); and several nieces and nephews. Darcy was born in Regina and resided there his whole life. Darcy graduated from Sheldon Williams Collegiate in 1978 and worked for his father in the painting business, from a teenager until his passing. Darcys passions were spending time with his son Justin, and together they collected die cast cars and spent many hours playing video games. Darcys other interests included his 1981 Chevrolet truck which he loved " which was obvious by its appearance. Darcy loved playing and watching all sports and was once the Regina Fooseball champ. He could be found most Saturdays playing snooker and would only compete against the best. Darcys favorite hockey team was the Edmonton Oilers and he watched them faithfully. Darcys was his fathers right hand man around the house, washing his truck daily, shoveling his driveway, as well as many neighbours. Darcy will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darcys memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina S4P 2R3.
