Obituary of Emil Peter Vensland

VENSLAND " Emil Peter Vensland, late of Regina, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by his parents Severt and Ida Vensland; three sisters, Nettie, Edna and Hildur; one brother Stanley. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley; two daughters, Diane (Doug) Rhodes of Assiniboia, Linda Vensland of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Peter (Cecette Brons), Nathan and Vanessa Rhodes; sister Viola (Irvine) Feldman of Melville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was born on July 27, 1925 near Kandahar, SK. He served with the Navy during World War II. He began his career with Sask Power where he remained for 35 years. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Whitmore Park United Church, 336 Durham Drive with Rev. Douglas Ponto officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
