Obituary of Gregory Allen Clinton

CLINTON - Gregory Allen was born February 26, 1954, youngest of the four children of Les and Irene. He spent his life in Regina, except for his senior high school year at Walter Murray in Saskatoon, a year which impacted the rest of his life, cementing his love and talent for jazz music. The musical world of Saskatchewan will miss him as Greg was one of the few repair technicians in this province. As a free-lance musician he played with everyone from soul reviews to Mart Keny to Elvis impersonators. Ever, though, his heart sang jazz. Greg loved his family and spent many hours riding the STC to Saskatoon for visits with Mum and Dad. His great happiness was being an uncle to Sarah and Great Uncle to Nichelle and Rylee. His traditional gift of a unique and wonderful Christmas tree ornament for Sarahs first Christmas continued with his grand-nieces. Greg loved Christmas and every moment and every decision made for each gift to give his family. World War II was a deep, enduring interest for Greg and he became a scholar and expert, sharing his discoveries with Dad. All who knew him knew Gregs delight in and passion for golf. He is dearly missed by his father Leslie; his sister Brenda (Reg); his brothers Tim (Judy) and Robert; his niece Sarah (Craig); his great-nieces Nichelle and Rylee; and his cousins Kem (Wayne) and Darryl. Greg died unexpectedly on April 12, 2008. A Remembrance Gathering will be held Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
