Obituary of Frieda Edna Rumpel

FRIEDA EDNA? RUMPEL September 8, 1917 September 22, 2012 Edna passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Sunset Extendicare in Regina, SK in the loving presence of her family. She lost the love of her life, her husband, Ed, in 1998 just after celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Edna was also predeceased by her parents, John and Rosalia (Gattinger) Hollerbaum; her siblings: Karl (in infancy), Emil, Ella, Herbert (Marion), Ernest (Eleanor), Herman, Carl (Martha), and Matilda (Norman) Huber; and, most recently, her son-in-law, Don Baird. She was a wonderful, loving mother to three daughters: Marlene Irwin (John Pass) of Regina, SK; Carroll Baird of St. Albert, AB; and Donna (Don) Strudwick of Balgonie, SK. Her five grandchildren: Sheldon Koshin (Liz Harbus), Brad Baird, Craig (Shannon) Strudwick, Darin (Kim) Strudwick, and Amy Strudwick (Sir Khounphoumyadeth) have many fond memories; and her precious great-grandchildren: Breanne, Nicole, Nash, Abigail, Victoria, Taylor, Courtney, Aidan, Trystan, Noah and Logan, will never forget her. Edna is also survived by her sister, Dora (Herman) Wirth; her sister-in-law, Mae (Reinhard) Mohl; and her brother-in-law, Ruben Rumpel; as well as many special nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Craig Moeller officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Edenwold Cemetery. The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care provided to Mom by the nurses and staff at Sunset you are truly angels on earth?.
