Obituary of Ross Hardy Sargent

It is with sadness that the family of Ross Sargent announces his passing on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents Jean and Alfred Sargent; Peggy, his wife of 68 years, daughter Heather Keil (2010) and son-in-law Gerald Keil (1995). Ross will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Patricia (Dan Vetter), son Trevor, granddaughter Cindy Keil and great-granddaughters Amanda and Alyscia. Ross was born in what would become the town of Omega, SK, but was raised, schooled and worked in the Viceroy district. He spent 42 years as Secretary-Treasurer of the RM of Excel #71 before retiring to Regina in 1976. Ross was a good and respected man who lived a full life. He was always involved in community activities and volunteer organizations. He enjoyed bridge, golf, travelling and was an avid reader. Ross was the repository of a century of family and local history and will be missed by friends and family. Cremation will be followed by interment at a later date.
