Obituary of Jeanette Marguerite Thomson

THOMSON, Jeanette Marguerite It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jean, loving sister of Daisy Catley and Irene Stuttard. She will also be missed greatly by niece Cindy (Larry) Wilson, great-nephews, Bryce and Kent; nephew David (Darlene) Stuttard, great-nephew Sheldon; nephew Stephen (Kim) Stuttard, great-niece Stephanie. Jean was predeceased by her parents Ethel (Shawcross) Thomson and Edward Thomson, brother-in-law Robert Stuttard, great-nephews, Jason and Jordan Stuttard. Jean was a milliner. She was the owner and designer for her own shop (Jeanettes Hat Shop) on Scarth Street. She worked in the ladies department at the Sherwood Co-op on Victoria Avenue, and at Reitmans Northgate. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She loved her two cats and any strays who came to her door. Jean had a dry sense of humour and could never let a pun go by without sharing it. She was a true Elvis fan, taking her niece and nephews to many Elvis movies. We will all miss her. There will be a private family celebration of her life at a later date. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com A heart of gold stopped beating Working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither, The golden sun may set But the hearts that loved you dearly Are the ones that wont forget.
