Obituary of Keith Jacob William Belfry

BELFRY " Keith Jacob William died April 25, 2008 at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina after a prolonged illness. Keith was predeceased by his parents Jake and Eleanor (Jones) Belfry, and his sisters, Gloria (Horan) and Jean Belfry, brothers-in-law Orvil Horan and Robert Snell. Keith is survived by his sister Bernice Snell of Big River, his niece Doreen (Horan) Devito of Campbell River, BC, and nephews Robert (Sim) Snell of Prince Albert, SK and Ken (Karen) Snell of Saskatoon and their children and grandchildren. Keith was born in Parkside, Saskatchewan on April 12, 1936. Later the family moved to Big River where he was educated and raised. He left Big River for studies in Regina at Grey Nuns Hospital as an x-ray and lab technician. Later he studied at the Centre for Communicable Diseases in Atlanta, Georgia specializing in histology. He taught and worked at (Grey Nuns) Pasqua Hospital for 34 years. He enjoyed teaching and formed many friendships that have endured till his death. The family would like to commend the staff and community of Parkside Extendicare on Rae Street, Regina for their care of Keith in these last years. The prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on April 29, 2008. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Shellbrook, SK.
