Obituary of Istvan Barna

BARNA, ISTVAN (STEVE/PISTA) - Passed away May 3, 2008. Born August 10, 1943 in Salgotarjan, Hungary. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Istvan Barna and Iren Halasz. He is survived by his sister Iren Toth (Jozsef), his nephew Jozsef, and his friends in Canada. Steve came to Canada in 1974 and worked in Regina as an auto body worker until becoming ill with diabetes. He spent his time restoring vehicles or visiting with friends at the Regina Balaton Hungarian Club where he could be found having a drink while watching friends play cards or his favourite TV show, The Price Is Right. Pista was always fun and treated everyone fairly, and will be especially missed by his friend Otto Gajari and family. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina.
