Obituary of Gerald Alfred Brock

BROCK - Gerald Alfred Brock passed away suddenly at home on the evening of Saturday, May 10, 2008. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Loretta (nee Martz), parents Gen. and Violet Brock, younger brother Bill Brock, and many members of the Martz family. Gerald will be greatly missed by his daughter, Carol, and son, Lee; and five grandchildren: Michelle Wiwchar Brock,Tawny Brock, Nicole Brock, Auri Brock and Jonathan Wiwchar. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Jewel (Paul) Larsen, close cousin Bob (Phyllis) Brock, sisters-in-law Marg Brock and Beanie Martz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other well-loved extended family members. The family would like to thank those who helped Dad and supported us during the past difficult months - Pasqua Hospital Coronary Observation Unit; Ward 3D staff and Dr. Mary Bohn; the William Booth Special Care Home Convalescent Unit staff; the EMT, Coroner and Regina City Police for their compassion and professionalism. A special thanks to Dad's physician, Dr. Z. Shamsuzzaman, for his dedication to Dad's well-being. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Chaplain Lee Tennyson officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 5:00 p.m. " 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 16th from 8:00 a.m. " 12:00 noon at Speers Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
