Memorial service to be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 @ 10:30 am at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Viewing held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 @ 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Speers. Ruby lived in Brandon and Winnipeg, MB and finally made Regina her home. She lived through many hard times. In her early years she worked in restaurants and hotel bars as a waitress. She married Robert Jackson and had three children, Marilyn, Leslie and Heather, divorced and then met Basil Stephen and had one daughter, Shelly. Ruby then devoted her time to being a mother and a homemaker. She was a kind and generous person. Always had a little something to give you when you visited her. Ruby enjoyed her material things and wealth meant very little to her. She touched the hearts of many. Rubys family and her friends were very important to her and as her family increased in numbers, she was always able to keep track of everyone. Ruby suffered many losses over the years and two of the greatest losses was her mother and Shellys dad, Basil Stephen. Ruby moved to Regina Pioneer Village in November, 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed her new home and had many laughs with the staff. Special thanks to all the staff at Regina Pioneer Village Care Home that assisted with her care and well-being.
