Obituary of David (Dave) Howard Chapman

Dave passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Regina and is survived by his loving wife Alice (Deis) of nearly 50 years, sons Brian (Carol), Richard (Brenda) and daughter Lorelei (Jim), grandchildren Ashley, Jennifer, Lindsay, Ben, Brett, Rachel, Molly and Taylor, and sisters Doreen Simpson and Betty Alexander, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Harold and Florence and brother Patrick. Dave married Alice October 4, 1958 and soon after joined the Regina Fire Department, retiring after 32 years . They were snowbirds and enjoyed the camaraderie of the Queen City Sams RV Chapter. Throughout his adult life Daves ongoing project was his cottage at Sask Beach where anybody and everybody was always welcome for a meal, a beer or a day in the boat, or to grab a hammer and lend a hand. He spent years dedicating time to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and was once honoured as a special guest on the famous Jerry Lewis Telethon. In later years his charity of choice was the Childrens Wish Foundation. Donations to either charity on Daves behalf would be greatly appreciated. In the last years of his life his favourite pastime was anything to do with his grandchildren. The highlights of those years were certainly the two multi-family holidays they took, skiing in Fernie for Christmas of 2005 and this past holiday season to St. Maarten in the Caribbean where he managed to float in the sea and say this is fun.? Thanks for the memories Dad. Rest in Peace.
