Obituary of Florence Del Gruver

GRUVER " On Saturday, May 24th, 2008, Florence Del Gruver passed away peacefully with dear friends at her side. Predeceased by her parents, George and Hazel, Florence will be lovingly remembered by the many friends whose lives she touched: Myron, Shelley, Aaron and Nathan Knodel, Monty and Carol Pearon and family; as well as longtime friends Daryl (Doc), Don, Byron (BJ) Seaman and Grace Kyle; her dear neighbours Garld and Beatrice Malin and Doreen McLaughlin, along with her caregivers, especially Myrna Aebig and Danny Brown. Florence is also survived by two cousins in the United States. Florence was born February 26, 1917 in Rouleau, SK and spent many memorable years on the family farm. Traveling and spending winters in Palm Springs with friends, watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Flames, playing cards, curling, and her long time love of golfing at the Wascana Country Club (a member since 1945) were just some of Florences past times. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 " 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Florences life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment will be held at Regina Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of her fondness toward her dogs, especially Mickey, donations may be made in Florences memory to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
