Obituary of Philip Ring

RING " Philip Ring passed away at Regina on Thursday, June 6, 2008 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1929 at the age of 7 years. Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Jennie; his parents; brother Jacob; infant granddaughter Gina; grandson Jason. Philip is survived by his sister Alma (Arnold) Wolf and family; sister-in-law Anita and family. He will be missed very much by his children: sons, Ron (Kelly) and their children, Roxanne (Glen Willerth), Rene (Terry Liske), Ron Jr. (Allerina); Douglas (Barb) and their children, Ian (Naomi), Adam; daughters, Pat (Sieg) Wagner and their children, Tracy (Kelly) Chute, Shelley (Fabio) Fiorito and Ryan; Judy (David) Wagner and their children, Michelle, Trevor (Sharon), Jeanette, Louis, Trinity, Kristina and Journey. Philips seventeen great-grandchildren will miss their Grandpa/Pappa dearly. After serving in the Army during WW II Philip returned home and married Jennie. They began raising their family on the farm in the Pilot Butte district where Philip remained farming until his health began to deteriorate in 2007. He had a great love of the land and all of nature. He took great pride in the upkeep and care of his farm. He was meticulous in the care of his yard and property. His passion was hunting and fishing in the early years and he instilled those traits in his children and grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memoriam, to William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina S4R 8P6.
