Obituary of Evelyn Bubar Fyffe

FYFFE " Evelyn Bubar died in Regina, June 7, 2008. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Douglas and Lillias Fyffe, her brothers Jerry and Ron, sister-in-law Jean and niece Nancy. Evelyn was born in Regina and attended Davin School and Central Collegiate. She graduated from the Grey Nuns School of Nursing in 1946. During her career as a Nurse she worked in Regina, Red Wing Minnesota, Detroit Michigan and Seattle Washington. During this time she took her Post Grad in Obstetrical Nursing. Evelyn took her Public Health training at the University of Toronto and then worked with the Department of Health in Saskatchewan. She worked in Public Health in Indian Head, North Battleford, Humboldt and Tisdale. She returned to Regina and took over as Supervisor of the Regina Rural Public, a position from which she retired in 1984. Evelyn is survived by her sister-in-law Pat Fyffe, her nieces and nephews Chris (Ken) Sali, Karen Fyffe, Cheryl (Leonard) Thauberger, Randy (Roberta) Fyffe, RJ (Holly) Fyffe, Kathy Fyffe, Marnie (Don) McMillian and Sandra Fyffe, and numerous great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Santa Maria Nursing Home and Mutchmor Lodge for the care Evelyn received. A private family service will be held.
