Obituary of Edward Adam Strank

STRANK - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Adam Strank on July 9, 2008, at the age of 79 years. He was born in Rossburn, MB on May 31, 1929. Eddie was one of fifteen children and is survived by his brothers Michael (Janie) Strank of Chatham, ON, Paul (Mildred) Strank of Rossburn, MB; sisters Stella (Mel) Yakiwchuk of Winnipeg, MB, Mary (Arnold) Streibel of Regina, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Anne Strank; siblings Marie, Jack, Alex, Willie, Peter, George, Matthew, Daniel, Rose, Steve. Eddie's first job was in Manitoba as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse with grades 1 - 8. Then he worked as a partsman in many different towns. Eddie came to Regina in 1965 and started working with Regina Motor Products as a partsman. He was with RMP for 29 years and retired in 1994. To keep himself busy after he retired, he delivered the Leader Post and did odd jobs. Eddie was a long time Rider fan, took great pride in his plants and flowers, enjoyed card games and would never sit out a polka. Eddie will be remembered as a quiet, generous and strong person. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. H. Nachtigall officiating.
