Obituary of Ambrose Wald

WALD - Ambrose Wald, age 80 years, passed away after a three week illness at the Regina General Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 2008. Ambrose was born March 8, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He is survived by his wife, Maria; sister Ludwina (Germany), brother Anton (Germany); numerous nieces and nephews; daughters, Irene of Regina, Christine (John) of Biggar; granddaughters Marie (Jason), Cecile (Bill), (great-granddaughters, Erika and Lauren), Suzanne (Jon); son Joseph of Texas; granddaughter Jessica (Silver) and grandson Kirk Wald. Ambrose worked at Ipsco for thirty years and retired in 1991. He enjoyed traveling in his retirement; reading, listening to his opera programs every Saturday and visiting with friends. He enjoyed participating in the Keenagers Aquatic Program over the past ten years. Thank you to everyone who cared for dad and comforted him in his last days of life. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross R. C. Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East with Rev. Norman Marcotte presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
