Obituary of Cecilia Marie McLarty

McLARTY - On Sunday morning, July 20, 2008 Cecilia McLarty (Pelletier) left this world to continue her journey, holding onto the hand of God. Cecilia was predeceased by her husband John Mansfield McLarty and her eight brothers and sisters. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was the heart of our family, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and a friend to many. Our mother had many roles in her life, as a registered nurse, farmer's wife, but most important was being a role model as a mother. She felt everyday was a blessing from God and showed it in her happy, positive disposition. Cecilia was raised in Toronto, Ontario where she became a nurse. She later met and married our father, and moved to a farm near Weyburn, Sask. She returned to Toronto for many years, and then moved to Regina, Sask. where she lived with her daughter Mary Ellen. For her final year she lived in Wintergreen Estates where she was blessed to have met many new friends - so enjoying her pretty suite. Cecilia leaves behind, her four daughters: Carol (Mark) Silliker (Nashua, Montana), Mary Ellen Murray (Regina, SK), Karen (Al) MacPhee (Weyburn, SK), Patricia Zinke (Kalispell, Montana). Eleven grandchildren: Tammy (Mark) Hanson, Jason Silliker, Christopher (Shayna) Murray, Scott (Rhonda) Murray, Robyn Murray, Marty Buchanan, Travis (Zoe) Buchanan, Kaden MacPhee, Ara Dawn (Brent) Jorgenson, Dahra Zinke and Demi Zinke. eight great-grandchildren: Mya Murray, Kieran, Alaina, and Nolan Jorgenson, Kaige Heshka, Mason and Brooke Buchanan, and Kailee Hanson. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will take place at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 24th, at Christ the King Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, Sask. Interment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, Sask. Donations can be made to St. Michael's Retreat Center, Box 220, Lumsden, Sask. S0G 3C0.
