Obituary of Florence Greenwood

GREENWOOD - Florence H. Greenwood (Barnholden), It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence on Saturday, August 2, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband and special friend, Orlin; her daughter Louise Neagle, Brampton, ON and son Wayne Ford of Vancouver, BC; grandsons, Geoff (Marlaine) Neagle of Barrie, ON; Chris Ford of Kelowna, BC. Florence had a special spot for her only great-granddaughter Claire Neagle (6 months old). She also leaves behind sister Evelyn (Fred) Campbell, Moose Jaw; brother Earl (Marjorie) Barnholden, Uxbridge, ON; sister-in-law Eleanor Wells, Christopher Lake, SK; and a very special sister-in-law Ruth Field, Moose Jaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her first husband, Russell Ford; her parents Mabel and John Barnholden; brother Gordon (Louise) Barnholden; sisters, Bernice (Alf) Meyer, Ellen (Frank) Carline, Ruby (Art) Robinson and Laura; sister-in-law Marjorie Hewson; as well as brothers-in-law, Roy and Lorne Ford. Florence was raised in Moose Jaw and attended Central Collegiate; spent many happy years in Melville before moving to Regina in 1957. She was Clinic Co-ordinator for Wascana Hospital for 30 years and a member of Westminster United Church for over 50 years; a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary No. 1; and involved with the Genealogical Society of Regina. She will be sorely missed by family and her many friends. Cremation. Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Avenue, Regina, SK with Rev. S. Alan Schooley officiating.
