Obituary of Reinhold Sigfreid Lanz

REINHOLD SIGFREID LANZ SEPTEMBER 1, 1916 - SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 Monday, September 15, 2008, Reinhold passed away peacefully at the Wascana D.V.A. Ward in Regina at the age of 92 years. Reinhold was born to John and Ludwika (Mang) on their homestead at Avonhurst, Sask. Reinhold worked on the family farm until 1941 when he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war Reinhold returned to work on the farm until 1947. Reinhold later moved to Regina where he worked for 36 years at Weston's Bakery. Reinhold was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1948. He is survived by his sister Geraldine Lanz, sister-in-law Erna Lanz and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews and friends. Reinhold is predeceased by four brothers - Frank, Emil, John, Ralph and nine sisters - Emma Gladwin, Eva Smidt, Erna Lanz, Martha Bell, Lydia Bray, Elsie McIvor, Lucy Elve, Violet Sauer and Atholine Reiss. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina - Reverend Bob Leeson officiating.
