Obituary of Sophia Pantel

PANTEL - Sophia Pantel (Pantelopoulous) passed away on September 30, 2008 at Sunset Extendicare in Regina. Mrs. Pantel was born on June 17, 1925 and lived all her life in Regina. She and her husband operated the Utopia Caf until their retirement in 1970. Mrs. Pantel is predeceased by her parents, Tony and Maria Diamand, by her husband George Pantelopoulous, and by her uncle, John Diamond. She is survived by her sister, Lola Pontikes of Saskatoon, by brothers-in-law John (Soteria) and Tim (Barbara) Pantelopoulos of Regina and Tom (Effie) in Greece, sister-in-law Maria Dimitriadis in Greece, and numerous relatives in Canada and Greece. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road with Rev. Fr. Spiridon Vandoros officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Flowers are gratefully declined.
