Obituary of Maurice Wilfred Turner

TURNER - On Wednesday, October 8, 2008 Maurice Wilfred "Moe Turner passed away at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Phyllis; brothers Eugene and Dwight. Moe is survived by his daughter Maureen and son-in-law Umar of London, ON; brothers, Jim (Pat), Barry (Leanne), Del (Eileen), and Bill (Donna); sisters, Bernice Giesz, Marj Petrisor, Millie Johnson, Norma Phillips, Dianne (Bill) Hamill, Trudy (Al) Turner, Linda (Peter) Peterson; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Maidstsone, SK on May 22, 1932, Moe's early years were spent with the Canadian Navy. Following his stay in the Navy he moved back to Saskatchewan and worked for CMHC, McCallum Hill Corp., and as a Commissionaire for the Regina City Police, from which he retired. There will be a Memorial Come-and-Go Gathering at the German Club, 1727 St. John Street, Regina on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Regina General Hospital, Cardiac Care Unit, 1440 - 14th Avenue, Regina S4P 0W5.
