Obituary of Allen Gordon Robbins

ROBBINS, Allen (Al) Gordon October 27, 1947 - October 11, 2008 Al was the eldest son, born to the late Gordon and Esther (Yauck) and brother to the late Gerald (Jerry). Al is survived by his sister-in-law Fatima (Chie). He was born and raised in Regina, where he attended Benson School and Luther College. While at Luther, Al met one of his best friends, Bill Barlow, whom he saw and was in contact regularly. After Luther, Al commenced working for the City of Regina and remained there for 34 years. When Al retired he was Supervisor of Solid Waste Collection for the City and during his time with the City, he met many wonderful people (fellow employees). From his City experience, he remained friends over many years with two very special people, Fred Dulmage and Gordon Wilkie. They remained close to Al and helped him when required. Also, Al's cousin Larry Bauer (deceased) his wife Pat, remained close with him during his difficult period. In the last few years, Al had a special nurse who took care of him and he wished to thank her for her care and understanding, Donna Evans. Upon Al's wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina with Rev. Craig Moeller officiating.
