Obituary of Florence Sophia Bailey

BAILEY - Florence Sophia Bailey (nee Glover) passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her husband, Horace, father Joseph Glover, mother Frances Glover (nee Reesor), sister Marion and husband Bob Martel, grandchild Patrick Norman Bailey, grandson-in-law Tom Storozuk, brothers/sisters-in-law John Brown, Rennie Bailey, Evelyn and Bruce Anderson, Marjorie and Mel Klatt and David Bailey. Florence is survived by her children: Bruce (Byrdene), Fern (Norm) Hirsch, Gary (Pat), Martin (Barb), Sharon (Dan) Oudot, Brent (Nicole); grandchildren: Phelan (Theresa), Parry (Rhonda) Bailey; Shelley, Derek (Melissa) Hirsch; Carey, Jason, Laura Bailey; Kimberley, Cameron (Jill) Bailey, Chris, Craig (Meagan) Oudot; Brad, Stephanie (Darren), Courtney Bailey; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Barbara (Maurice) Claude, brothers/sisters-in-law Frances Brown, Louise Bailey, Merle (Jack) Lorette, Maxine (Ken) Oskrip; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Redvers, SK and lived there until she moved to Regina Village, Regina, SK in 2005. She loved her lilies and always found room in her tiny flowerbed for more. She was a member of the Lily Society for many years. Mom was always concerned for the less fortunate and sponsored many World Vision children over the years. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Westminster United Church, 3025 - 13th Avenue, Regina with Rev. Ken Powers officiating. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on 3B and 3D at the Pasqua Hospital.
