Obituary of Richard Malcolm Gilchrist

GILCHRIST, RICHARD MALCOLM MAY 9, 1926 - OCTOBER 17, 2008 Richard is predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Eldora; daughter-in-law Jean; and sister Mary in August 2003. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen; daughter Deborah Elash (Cameron) and her sons Robert and Steven; son Stewart (Heather) and his children Ryan with his two boys Austen and Ethen; daughter Colleen; son Mark (Jule) and their children Heather and MacMillan; brother Eric (Ruth) of Red Deer, AB; nephew Derek (Donna) with girls Kyla and Elizabeth also nephew Jeffrey (Kelly) with daughter Ailish; as well as numerous cousins. Richard grew up and went to school in the General Milestone District. After some traveling, most of his working career was in the propane industry. When he retired he went into small grain farming. Cremation. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
