Obituary of Louise Mary Hobrath

HOBRATH - On Monday, October 27, 2008 Louise Hobrath of Regina, SK passed away peacefully at the age of 73 years. Predeceased by her first husband, George Klein, her second husband Johann, her parents John and Rose Niedermayer and her brother Leo. Louise is survived by her daughters, Gail (Philip) Zerr, Jan Fluter (John Bell), and Gina Jalufka: grandchildren, Ian (Julie), Ryan (Kristin) and Shaun; Roberta (Tony), and Christie Ann (Cole); Richard and Carolyn; great-grandchildren: Dillon, Sayer, Mikhaila, and Emma; brothers and sisters: Charlie (Christine), Betty (Mitch) Petrovic, Jim (Shirley), Kathy (Ed) Marks, Gert (Horst) Weichel, and Anne (Garry) Fink; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Louise enjoyed reading, doing handicrafts, sewing and gardening. She was passionate about keeping up with news and current affairs and she never hesitated to voice her concerns about the state of world affairs. Her final days were made comfortable thanks to the care she received from the Palliative Home Care nurses while she was at home, and from the Palliative Health Care staff of 3A at the Pasqua Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Stephen Bill officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regina Palliative Care Inc., 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina S4T 1A5. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
