Obituary of Roy Leo Fahlman

FAHLMANRoy Leo, of Vibank, SK. at the age of 79, surrounded by his family and loving wife Sylvia, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Predeceased by his first wife Angelina and his parents Andrew and Rosalia Fahlman; brother Fr. Francis; sister Katherine; brothers-in-law Karl Grossberndt, Ben Bechal and Dick Ehman; and granddaughter Frances Dunn. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sylvia and children: Rosalie (Dale), Harvey (Caroline), Michael (Marilyn), Brian (Jane), Bernie (Eileen), Elaine (Ken), Sharon (Boyd) and Geraldine (Christopher); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are sister, Agnes Grossberndt; brothers, Albert (Betty), Alois (Phylis); sisters-in-law, Irene Bechal, Sharon Colenutt, Helen Ehman; and brothers-in-law, Peter Meier and Ray Colenutt. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's R.C. Church, Vibank, SK. with Rev. Louis Abello presiding. Interment will follow at Vibank Cemetery. The family especially thanks the nursing staff at the Santa Maria Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Roy for the past year.
