Obituary of Arthur Lorne Gibbons

ARTHUR LORNE GIBBONS APRIL 1941 " NOVEMBER 2008 It is with great sadness the family of Art Gibbons announces his passing on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Regina Pioneer Village. Art was born in Weyburn and grew up in Colfax. He worked for the Co-op in Colfax for many years before moving to British Columbia to work in the mines near Fernie. Predeceased by his parents Mildred and Gilles Gibbons; brother Bob; sister Shirley Andrews; brothers-in-law, Joe Andrews and Eugene Pilsner. He is lovingly remembered by his common-law wife Darleen Mulgrew and her daughters, Darla (Len), Deb (Mark), their two children and Lisa (Rea); brother Bill (Betty); sisters, June (Lloyd), Betty (Roy), Carol, Sandra (Bob); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 West at Regina Pioneer Village for their compassionate care of Art (their busy fix-it man). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. A family interment will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
