Obituary of Adrey Isabelle Thacker

THACKER - Adrey Isabelle Thacker (Burton) died at Pasqua Hospital on August 4, 2006. She was born at Abernethy, SK on December 15, 1910. After attending Normal School she taught for several years before marrying Charles Thacker in 1934. They lived in various Saskatchewan locations where he was a teacher, principal and school superintendent. Adrey was active in each community in the United Church WA, WMS and UCW as well as the Eastern Star. Upon retirement to Regina, they both took an interest in activities at the U of Regina and the Museum of Natural History and continued to be active in the Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her husband and both brothers, Howard and Allan. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Laura Burton (N. Vancouver), Peggy Burton (Abernethy, SK) and seven nieces and nephews - David Burton and family (Ottawa, ON), Ann Forster and family (N. Vancouver), Louise Burton (Armstrong, BC), Jack Burton (Victoria, BC), Donna Bygrave and family (Edmonton, AB), Bob Burton (Regina), and Earl Thacker and family (Brantford, ON). At Adreys request a private Graveside Service will be held.
