ANNETTE PATTON It is with sadness that the Patton family announces the passing of (Janie) Annette Patton of Regina on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the age of 93. She leaves to mourn her eight children, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Ernie (Mary), Wayne (Marie), Marilyn (Rick Gorman), Des (Sue), Ivan (Brenda), Shannon, David (Linda); 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and a nephew in Northern Ireland (Annette, Rosemary and Fred) and Calgary (Donna). Annette was predeceased by her loving husband, Desmond; her parents; and two brothers, John (Agnes) and Wilfred. Born in Northern Ireland on May 3, 1920, Annette immigrated to Canada in 1947. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. With quiet strength and dedication she supported her church and various charities, and was a respected teacher, principal, choir director, singer, volunteer and friend. Her faith and family were at the centre of a life enriched by music and dedicated to education. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations, in memoriam, may be made to Palliative Home Care, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 7T1 or to a charity of your choice. The family appreciates the loving care provided by Dr. Zagozeski and the entire Palliative Home Care team, who allowed us to carry out Annette’s wish of dying peacefully at home with her family at her bedside.
