Obituary of Mary Margaret Joan Schmalenberg

Schmalenberg - (nee Holt) - Mary Margaret Joan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8th, 2006 at the Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 70, following a two year battle with colon cancer. Joan was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 2004. She is survived by her son Perry (Alice) and their daughters Haley and Julia, and by her daughter Gail Lawlor (Darrel) and their daughter Hannah as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Dr. Aboo, his nurse Mardel and Dr. Tcherni for the wonderful care they gave Mom over the last two years. We would also like to thank Dr. Clein, Dr. McMillan, Palliative Care and especially the staff of the Wascana Grace Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion during Moms final weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joans name may be made to William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, S4R 8P6. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Pauls Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street, Regina with Rev. John Gardiner officiating. Interment in St. Pauls Columbarium.
