Obituary of Glenn Wayne Peppler

PEPPLER - On Wednesday, August 16, 2006 Glenn Wayne Peppler, of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away at the age of 62. Glenn was predeceased by his parents Harry and Minnie (nee Nerbas) Peppler and father-in-law Christopher Fraser Rodger. Glenn is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carole (nee Rodger); daughters Laura (Andy) of Prince Albert, SK and Leanne (Simon) of Edmonton, Alberta; sons Jeff (Danielle and daughter Anya) of Regina, SK and Greg (Stephanie) of Saskatoon, SK; and one beautiful granddaughter, Anya. Glenn is also survived by his sister Lorraine (Mel) Byblow; brother Dale (Charlene) Peppler; mother-in-law Isabel Rodger; sisters and brothers-in-law Gail (Paul) Crane; Bill (Miriam) Rodger; David (Marie) Rodger; Trish (Bill) Courchaine; Barb (Paul) Pandolfo and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Glenn was born on January 21, 1944 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He grew up on the family farm in MacNutt with his parents and sister Lorraine and brother Dale. He graduated from MacNutt High School and went on to work for the Toronto Dominion Bank for more than 35 years. Glenn met and married Carole in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They had their two daughters there and later moved to Saskatchewan where their two sons were born. Glenn retired a few years ago and enjoyed the time he and Carole spent wintering in Arizona as well as numerous family get togethers throughout the years. Glenns kind and gentle nature touched the lives of family, friends and coworkers. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and Montreal Canadiens fan. His strength and wisdom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan. The family of Glenn Peppler would like to thank Dr. Schonken, the nursing and support staff on 4A Pasqua Hospital and Dr. Clein and the nursing and support staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital for the wonderful and compassionate care Glenn received.
